The Resident Assistants of the Zone One Department of Residential Life would like to invite you to the HappyPaws Dance-athon in an effort to raise money for the Humane Society in Kent County.
The event will be held on April 17 from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. in Hodson Hall. The six-hour Dance-athon will help raise money for animals sheltered at the Humane Society of Kent County, which are in dire need of better health care treatments, new homes, and better lives.
We would like the community to look upon these friendly beings and provide as much support as possible to the Dance-athon this Saturday. Everyone willing to participate is required to create a team of at least five members with one dancer on the floor every hour. Each team must register by paying a fee of $10 either in advance or at the event. The registration fee and all other proceeds go directly to the Humane Society. All in the Washington College and Chestertown community are welcome to dance or simply watch.
Every hour of the dance-athon will focus on a different genre of music and different dance style competitions so we’ll see who can really dance. Even better, earlier in the evening the Humane Society will be bringing by some animals up for adoption.
Other smaller activities include limbo and a photo booth. There will also be a team costume contest and prizes for all contest winners.
So, do you really like to dance? Do you like to have fun? Do you like cheesy costumes and puppies and kittens? Enter your club as a team for the Happy Paws Dance-athon.
Don’t waste time any time and enter your team to help raise money for the Humane Society of Kent County, have some fun, and win prizes. There will also be a little friendly competition, some limbo, team karaoke, heads/tail dancing and a photo booth as well as puppies and kittens.
