The Washington College women’s tennis team rolled through three straight victories this past week as they hope to keep their playoff aspirations alive. This past weekend, the Shorewomen won their double header by beating conference rival Muhlenburg 7-2 and non-conference team York College 8-1 to total their record at 9-3.
Against Muhlenburg, sophomore Brittany Marshall clinched the match at number two singles with a 3-6, 6-3, 6-3 win. In their match versus York, senior Kellie Foster clinched the match for the Shorewomen when she blanked her opponent 6-0, 6-0 at No. three singles.
Tuesday, the Shorewomen faced conference rival Ursinus and again posted an impressive 7-2 victory. In that match, Marshall clinched at number two singles as she blanked her opponent 6-0, 6-0. With their victory over Ursinus the ladies improved to 10-3, marking the third consecutive year the Shorewomen have achieved 10 victories in a season.
