The Washington College Shorewomen fall to a 0-3 record in Centennial Conference action and an overall 7-13 record.
On Sept. 28, the Shorewomen met the Swarthmore Garnet at Cain Athletic Center. The Garnet won the match 3-0 (25-18, 25-20, 25-8). Freshman Lauren White achieved her fourth double-double with 21 assists and 10 digs. Senior Traci Daelemans added an additional 10 digs. Freshman Julia Erbe led the Shorewomen in hitting with a .364 in the match.
This past weekend, the Shorewomen were on the road taking on Marymount and Frostburg State University in non-conference action at Marymount University.
Against Marymount, WC fell 3-1 (25-17, 25-20, 18-25, 27-25). The Shorewomen were able to rally to win the second set, but the Marymount Saints were able to come back and win the last two sets of the match.
White achieved her fourth double-double in five matches, with 31 assists, 18 digs, 7 kills and a hitting average of .545. Sophomore Rita Rivera contributed 18 digs with sophomore Kate Rowan adding an additional 15 digs and Daelemans adding another 12 digs. Junior Alyssa Forget contributed 11 kills in the match with senior Maria Whitman adding 10 more kills. Whitman had a hitting average of .444 in the match.
The Shorewomen fell to Frostburg State University 3-0 (25-19, 25-12, 25-8). In the match, White led the Shorewomen with 15 assists and a match best 11 digs.
The Shorewomen are in action Oct. 9 at Muhlenberg and again on the Oct. 13 at home against Ursinus at 7:00 p.m.
