This week in Greek Life on Campus, the sisters of Alpha Omicron Pi can be found in Hodson Hall passing out flyers and registration forms for their annual 5k walk/run, “Queen of the Roses.”

The race is in honor of AOTT sister, Jasmine Queen, and all proceeds made from the event will go towards the scholarship which the sisters erected in her name, and also to their philanthropy, arthritis research.

The event will take place on Sunday, Oct. 24 at 11 a.m. at Wilmer Park.

Alpha Chi Omega will be hosting a memorial service to honor all those effected by domestic violence on Wednesday, Oct. 20 at 4 p.m. in the CAC gallery. Cortnee Doll ‘13, encourages all who are available to attend the event.

“Domestic violence is something which so many people are affected by, so we really hope that a lot of students and faculty alike turn out for the service on the 24th,” she said.

We can all thank the sisters of Zeta Tau Alpha for “pinking out campus,” as part of their efforts to raise awareness for breast cancer research. On Wednesday, Oct. 20, the sisters will be giving out free Yoplait yogurt, and the following day, on Oct. 21, they will be hosting a yogurt eating contest to collect the pink Yoplait lids.

ZTA Sister Kelsey Mills ‘13, asks that “all members of the community wear pink on Wednesday the 27th to show support for the fight against breast cancer.”
