The Washington College Shorewomen are now 10-17 in play as a result of their games before the fall break.
On Oct 6, the Shorewomen claimed victory against Wesley 3-0 (25-19, 25-16, 25-21). Senior Maria Whitman served 18 aces and Junior Alyssa Forget achieved 10 kills with Sophomore Jenny Lee contributing 7 kills. The Shorewomen were not able to keep up the momentum and fell to Lancaster Bible College 3-2 (14-25, 25-22, 22-25, 26-24, 15-3).
On Oct 9 the Shorewomen came back with an upset victory against Muhlenberg College 3-1 (16-25, 25-19, 25-20, 25-20), which was their first victory against the Mules since 1994. The Shorewomen fell to Scranton later that day 3-0 (16-25, 25-19, 25-20, 25-20).
The next home game for the Shorewomen is also their final game. They play Dickinson on Oct 30. This game is also senior night when seniors Maria Whitman and Traci Daelemans will be recognized for their career as Shorewomen.
