Five Shorewomen players were awarded All-Centennial Conference recognition this week. Washington College Field Hockey players Shannon Davis, Brittany Palasik and Emily Trees earned All-Centennial Conference honors, while women’s soccer players Gabrielle Devaud and Victoria Ripple earned honorable mentions.
Junior Palasik, who had a record-breaking season, was named to the first team. She recorded an unofficial NCAA Division III record of 25 defensive saves and her 33 career defensive saves set a new Centennial Conference record as well as a new school record. Junior Trees, leading the team with nine goals, and senior Davis, finishing the season with a .764 save percentage and 1.93 goals-against average, were named to the second team.
Junior Devaud led the Shorewomen with nine total points and three assists. Junior Ripple posted a .788 save percentage, a 2.00 goals-against average and finished second in the conference with 7.42 saves per game. She recorded two solo shutouts in 14 games.
