Washington College’s SEB is in the works of planning for a popular artist to perform on campus in the spring semester. Though WC always tries to bring a big name performer to campus for the students, SEB is eager to hear of students’ opinions since finding a neutral artist for the whole student body is a difficult task.
In past years, Dashboard Confessional and Gym Class Heroes have visited WC; popular comedians are another option because SEB found most students agree on comedy as a form of entertainment.
To have students’ voices heard, a Facebook group entitled “WAC!! WHICH BAND WOULD YOU CHOOSE???” has been created where students can post performers they would like to see.
Some popular requests have been Kid Cudi, Ke$ha, Dead Mau5, Drake and Slightly Stoopid. While SEB is in the works of contacting agencies and possibly raising its $40,000 budget, all students will have a final vote once the possibilities have been narrowed down.
