At the Franklin & Marshall Invitational, the Shoremen finished fifth out of nine teams, with junior Austin Auger and senior captain Matt Violette achieving top five finishes. Auger achieved a season best time of 1:01.61 in the 100 breaststroke and placed eleventh in the 200 individual medley with a Washington College season best time of 2:06.32. Violette placed fifth in the 1650 freestyle with a time of 17:49.28, and achieved a WC season best time in the 500 freestyle in 5:04.10.
Junior captain Johnny Helenek had a time of 1:06.76 in the 100 breastroke. Fellow juniors Ross Mills placed tenth in the 200 butterfly with a time of 2:14.82 and Nick Longworth had a WC season best time of 2:03.65 in the 200 backstroke placing eighth.
Sophomore A.J. Feurer took seventh in the 1650 freestyle in 18:10.03 and freshman Robert Mix completed the 100 breastroke in 1:05.93 in eleventh.
The relay events saw another WC season best time in both the 200 medley with Longworth, Auger, Mix and Violette in 1:43.38 finishing fifth and Longworth, Auger, Mix and Violette finishing seventh in the 200 freestyle with a time of 1:34.50.
The Shoremen are at home this Saturday as they take on Widener at 1 p.m.
