Shoreman of the Week-Robert Storck
Junior Robert Storck is named Shoremen of the Week. Storck sat stroke in the Shoremen’s varsity four “A” boat, which won a pair of races over this past weekend. The Shoremen`s top four won its four-boat race at Saturday`s Philadelphia Frostbite Regatta in 7:17.20. Storck and his teammates defeated three teams from Division I schools. Making another win for the Shoremen, the four won its three-boat race at Sunday`s Bill Braxton Memorial Regatta in 7:20.89.
Shorewoman of the Week-Elizabeth Miskiel
Sophomore swimmer Elizabeth Miskiel is named Shorewoman of the Week. Miskiel won two individual events in each of the Shorewomen`s two meets last week. At Washington College, Miskiel is the 5th fastest swimmer ever in the 200 breaststroke, 6th in the 100 breaststroke, 8th in the 50 freestyle, and 9th in the 100 freestyle.
In Wednesday`s 117-88 win over Salisbury, Miskiel won the 100 freestyle and 200 freestyle, which allowed for the team`s 25th consecutive victory over the Eastern Shore rival. In the meet, she also swam the breastroke leg of the winning 200 medley relay. In Friday`s loss against St. Mary`s, Miskiel won the 50 freestyle and 100 breastroke.
