The Washington College women’s swim team was defeated by Franklin & Marshall last Monday in a conference swim meet. With a score of 130-69, the Diplomats improved to a 3-2 overall record and a 3-0 conference record with the win and the Shorewomen slipped to a 2-3 overall record and a 1-2 conference record with the loss.

Sophomore Elizabeth Miskiel won the 200 breaststroke in a WC season-best time of 2:33.15 for the Shorewomen. She also placed second in the 100 freestyle in a WC season-best time of 55.73. Freshman Alicia Howard scored a pair of second-place finishes in WC season-best times. She placed second in the 200 individual medley in a WC season-best time of 2:24.7 and also placed second in the 200 backstroke in a WC season-best time of 2:23.87. The Shorewomen’s 400 freestyle relay team of sophomore Hilary Badger, senior Ellen Liebenow, senior Morgan Phillips, and freshman Ashley Maurizi placed first with a time of 3:59.72.

The Shorewomen return to action this weekend Dec. 3 and 4 at the Franklin & Marshall Invitational.
