Shorewomen Beat Dickinson

This past Saturday, the Shorewomen defeated Dickinson College 73-63.  The Shorewomen stayed strong throughout the whole game, leading with 12 points in the first half and 15 in the second.  The team beat their Centennial Conference rival with a season high of 73 points.

Sophomore center, Latisha Pledger, had an amazing game as she recorded her 11th double-double of the season.  Pledger tallied 16 points and a game-best 13 rebounds which came off the offensive end.  Also with a game-best was senior guard Sally O`Donnell with ranking 17 points, five assists, six rebounds, and two blocks.  Senior guard Meghan Tait also had a phenomenal game for the Shorewomen, scoring 13 points, 10 boards, 8 assists, and 3 steals. Forward sophomore Liz Warkala scored 9 of her career-high of 11 points in the first half.

The ladies held a 41-32 advantage on the boards in the game, defeating the Red Devils in assists, rebounds, points off turnovers, 2nd chance points, and points in the paint.

The Shorewomen return back to action this Wednesday at 6:00pm as they play a Centennial Conference game against Swarthmore.
