Many students returned to campus early this year as Peer Mentors, RAs, or members of SGA or SEB. Among them, were many members of Washington College’s sororities and fraternities.

Greek life was strongly represented at a recent picnic hosted at President Mitchell Reiss’ home. According to the College website roughly 20 percent of students are involved in Greek life. However, of the students at the picnic close to half were Greeks.

Senior Caitlyn Riehl, a Peer Mentor Leader and member of Zeta Tau Alpha, was not surprised by the amount of Greeks who are members of campus leadership. “Our Greek system is dedicated to making Washington College a more service-oriented campus.”

This is given only to the top ten percent of chapters in the country.
