The Panhellenic Council hosted an open house on Thursday, Sept. 6 in order for female students to “Meet the Greeks.” It began in The Egg with an information session.
Interested students were able to travel to the western shore houses belonging to the different sororities. Each sorority welcomed the girls with open arms. Interested students learned more about each sorority by asking the sisters.
Freshman Jenna Chirico said that “everybody from all three sororities were so nice.” She and her roommate, freshman Catelyn McEnamin, exclaimed, “We can’t wait to rush in the spring.”
- Kappa Sigma and Zeta Tau Alpha were awarded the Interfraternity-Panhellenic Council Awards at Fall Convocation for the highest scholastic averages among Greek Life.
- Thursday Sept. 12, Zeta Tau Alpha hosted an event called “Come Meet S’More Zetas.” The sisters made s’mores and snacks while meeting interested students.
- This Friday, Sept. 14, the brothers of Kappa Sigma are hosting a Volleyball Tournament on the new volleyball court outside of Sassafras Hall. Teams of six people can sign up and the games will begin at 4 p.m. All are welcome to come out and support their favorite team.
- Friday Sept. 14, the brothers of Kappa Sigma will be hosting a Black Light Party in Dorchester House from 10 p.m. to 1 a.m.
- Phi Delta Theta is still selling tickets for their annual Crab Feast. The Feast will be at the boathouse on Sept. 22, from 3:30-6:30 p.m. Tickets cost $25. Sign up before Sept. 14 and get a free T-shirt!
