1. Noticed a strange hue to your honey lately? Turns out the bees in France have a sweet tooth, too. Beekeepers near a Mars plant in Strasbourg were alarmed when they noticed that their bees have recently been producing honey in curious shades of blue and green. Further investigation indicated that these hues came from M&M waste that the bees had picked up. Sadly, the colored honey was deemed unusable. The Mars factory has addressed the issue, cleaning out current waste containers and covering new ones so, hopefully, the bees will stop pigging out on M&M’s. MSNBC

2. It turns out that humans are not the only species in the United States with a weight problem. Our beloved canine companions have a little too much fat. Luckily, there are companies looking out for our dogs’ health. DogPACER has come out with a treadmill specifically for the dogs in your life. It is recommended dogs get 30 minutes of exercise a day, and with this handy treadmill, that exercise can be right in your own home. And, to make sure they’re using their new fitness equipment, dog owners can track their pet’s daily exercise with Tagg’s new combination GPS and activity monitor. 3. Everybody loves Monet with his gentle lines and neutral colors. Picasso is the name that every artist wants to live up to; their work is definitely among the greats. In this case these works are among the greatly stolen. Taken from an Art Gallery Museum in Rotterdam, Netherland the total value of all the works taken totals up to hundreds of millions of dollars on the legal market. A fact which is rather unlucky because they were reported as stolen very quickly and therefore the thief can’t take them to the local auction house to be sold. The initial investigation of the theft reports that the thieves targeted the most valuable works of art in the collection and the robbery was well prepared. At least the museum security have the comfort of knowing somebody didn’t just walk out of the building with the art under their arm like a souvenir. BBC

4. Everybody remembers the badger as the type of creature that you shouldn’t mess with. Though gentle on the outside, its insides are nothing except teeth and claws. However in England the hot topic for environmentalists is whether these lovable fangs of death should be culled from the wild that is their home. Badgers have the capability to be carriers for bovine tuberculosis. This is the disease that is responsible for much of the cattle death that the farmers don’t perform themselves. As cattle are free range animals the farmers are unable to separate the cattle from the badgers and so the disease is passed on from one to the other. Therefore the solution is to kill off all the badgers. It may seem simple but who would want to kill a bunch of badgers just for living? Thus the argument of should they or should they not has progressed from one committee to another without any solution in sight. BBC
