To bring the fall season to a close, The Elm presents a spread of photos of the teams and players in their final action of the year (with the exception of field hockey, which were not able to get pictures of). The four solely fall sports, volleyball, field hockey and men’s and women’s soccer have all officially come to a close. Here’s a look at how things shaped up for the fall squads:
- Volleyball ended the season with a Senior Day win over McDaniel College and finished the year with a solid record of 12-15 (4-6 Centennial Conference)
- Women’s soccer lost their final game to McDaniel 2-1 but finished the season 6-9-1 (2-7-1), an improvement of four wins over 2011.
- Men’s soccer lost their final match 2-0 to Johns Hopkins. They ended the season 5-10 (3-6), posting three wins in a conference that sent three teams to the NCAA Division III Championships.
- Field Hockey was the only fall sport to make the Centennial Conference Tournament, falling in the first round to Ursinus 2-1 in overtime. Their record closed at 9-10 (5-5)
