- Scottie Pippen and Pete Myers both completed four-point plays versus Atlanta, becoming the first pair in NBA history to achieve this in the same game on March 8, 1994. A four point play is when an offensive player shoots and makes a three point field goal while simultaneously being hit by a defensive player, resulting in a shooting foul. If the player makes the free throw shot, it results in a four point play.
- On March 9, 1971, the Chicago Bulls broke the Milwaukee Bucks’ 20-game winning streak by defeating the Bucks 110-103 in overtime. Tom Boerwinkle grabbed 33 rebounds in this victory.
- Larry Bird of the Boston Celtics recorded the highest-scoring game of his career on March 12, 1985, when he scored 60 points. In the process, he also set a franchise record for most field goals made in a single game. Dominique Wilkins scored 36 points for the Atlanta Hawks in one of these two superstars’ top battles, but the Celtics outlasted the Hawks 126-115.
- On March 14, 1998, Michael Jordan became the Bulls all-time leading rebounder, passing Tom Boerwinkle.
