“Go for the Goal;” On Feb. 8 at 7 p.m. the men’s basketball team will sponsor a campaign to end childhood cancer through research. You can purchase gold shoelaces for $5 that will go to cancer research and wear them to the game.
Changing the system of how senators are dispersed; right now there is one senator per 35 residents, three senators for above 75 residents, and another threshold that allows for four senators. The SGA is thinking of changing this to cap the number of senators and having a minimum number of people per residence hall. There would be no senator elections, and anyone would be permitted to apply.
The vice president position for the class of 2020 is currently empty and will be appointed by new President Andrew Berry. Applications will be coming out soon from the SGA email followed by interviews. Senators can run, but they have to revoke their position as senator if they are chosen.
