This week’s hero is Royal Farms for providing us with a new and convenient late night snacking location near campus.
Located near Café Sado and Kent Crossing on the High Street “traffic circle,” the new Royal Farms is perfect for students and townspeople who need a pick-me-up in the middle of the night, or are just looking for that famously delicious fried chicken.
Personally, I am a huge fan of Royal Farms potato wedges. Who doesn’t love fried potato with a cheesy dipping sauce? Even if fried foods are not your cup of tea, it’s nice to know that there is somewhere you can get a decent cup of coffee any hour of the day or night, seeing as they are open 24 hours a day.
As much as I am for supporting small and local businesses, college students often find it difficult to find everything they want or need during more irregular hours in a small town like Chestertown. The Chestertown Royal Farms is filling in those gaps for tired and hungry students, and for that we should be thankful.
If you do visit the Royal Farms, or even become a regular there, be sure to thank the hard working staff there, many of whom don’t often receive the gratitude they deserve for working in food service and retail. We rely on minimum wage workers to provide us with valuable services, and, in return, we can show a little gratitude and kindness.
