Still scrounging around for a last minute Halloween costume? These three easy makeup looks are fun, cute, and won’t break the bank.
- Outer Space. Channel your inner Zenon, Girl of the 21st Century with this colorful, glittery makeup. For this look, you will need purple eyeshadow and silver glitter.
Step One: Start with your regular foundation and brow routine.
Step Two: Add purple eyeshadow to the eyelids, dragging the brush back to the temples for a blown out smokey look. Place glitter in the middle of the eyelid for an extra pop. Add some winged liner to finish off the eyes.
Step Three: Use your purple shadow to accentuate your cheekbones and forehead. Purple blush could also be used for this step.
Step Four: Add a glittery highlight to your cheekbones, nose and forehead.
Step Five: Apply a clear gloss to the lips, then add the glitter that was used on the eyes. Feel free to play around with this step; a purple lip could be out of this world.
Step Six: Finish off this look with your usual mascara. Don’t forget to apply setting spray.
- Deer. This look could be one of the hottest of the year, and it’s so easy that it could be impossible to resist. To pull off this look, you will need white eye pencil or face paint, and black lipstick or face paint.
Step One: Start with your regular foundation. Contour starting about an inch higher than usual, and drag all the way down to the bottom of the face. Use a darker shade than you usually would.
Step Two: A normal brown smokey eye keeps this look from getting too complicated. If you’re feeling adventurous, add some bottom lashes using the liquid eyeliner to make the eyes appear huge like a deer’s.
Step Three: Use face paint or lipstick to paint the tip of your nose black. Add a thin line from the bottom of your nose to the center of your top lip. Use black lipstick to color your top lip. Add gloss to the bottom lip.
Step Four: Use white face paint or eye pencil to place white dots around the outside of the face.
- Pennywise. This spooky look is a sure to turn heads. Channel your inner “IT” using just red liquid lipstick and red eyeshadow.
Step One: If you’re really dedicated this look you can start with a base of white face paint. Otherwise, use a foundation that is a few shades lighter than you normally would, and cake it on. Set the base with a white or translucent powder.
Step Two: Start with black shadow on the lids. Use gray eyeshadow to blend upwards towards the brow bone. Black eyeshadow is perfect to fill in some spooky brows.
Step Three: Use a red lipliner or lipstick to outline. Overdrawing is key. Once you have an outline, fill in the lips with the same red lipstick.
Step Four: Starting at the bottom lash line use red lipstick to draw a line from the eyes to the edges of the mouth. Add another line above each brow, extending to one inch below the hairline. Use red eyeshadow to smudge the lines. Use red lipstick to draw a circle on the tip of the nose and around the nostrils. Smudge the edges with red eyeshadow. Finish the look with mascara and setting spray.
