New senators were sworn in.

The Social Life Committee discussed preparing for the Shoremal Tailgate and Hurricane Relief free throw contest on Oct. 9.

The Diversity Committee announced the Pow-Wow, which will take place on Oct. 7 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on the Campus Green with the rain location in the JFC.

The Kappa Sigma pancake breakfast will be Oct. 21 from 8 a.m. to noon in Emmanuel Church.

Vice President of Student Affairs and Dean of Students Sarah Feyerherm spoke about how students and alumni have been affected by the recent hurricanes. She praised the “rallying effort of the WC community.”

She announced that Dinner with the Deans, with Dean Patrice DiQunizio and Dean Feyerherm, will be happening about three times each semester with six students, in October, November, and December. Students can sign up as a group to be considered.

Dean Feyerherm also mentioned the new name policy for students to identify by a chosen name other than their legal name. She said that this will allow students to feel comfortable and included.
