With this year’s flu season being particularly dangerous, it is more important than ever that we arm ourselves with the flu shot. That’s why this week’s hero is the flu shot and those who help administer it. Getting your flu shot is important every year, but when many are ending up hospitalized due to influenza, it is even more comforting to know that you have that extra level of protection. Diseases spread quickly around college campuses and other close-knit communities and living quarters, so be sure to get plenty of vitamin C and wash your hands frequently, flu shot or not. Don’t forget to say “thank you” to the nurses and doctors who take care of you this week and all flu season.
