SGA Minutes Sept. 11

New Senators were sworn in.

WAC Textbook Exchange Facebook Group has been established to buy and sell textbooks.

The Shoremal Tailgate is Oct. 17. Shoremal is Oct. 20.

The constitution will be updated.

iServe is Oct. 6 from 12-2pm. Students will be working with Heron Point.

Chestertown Halloween Parade is Oct. 27 at 10 a.m.

Senators will be given more of a voice on campus.

Resolutions will be sent before Senate. They will be reviewed, debated, and voted upon then approved by the Review Board.

Administrative Remarks from Sarah Feyerherm: “There will be an Emergency Operations group that meets one to two times a month to address and review potential emergency situations on campus.”

Discussed Hurricane Florence and will keep students updated if necessary.

Dean Feyerherm wrote a letter to the Editor of The Elm to address the misunderstanding regarding the psychiatric nurse practitioners who worked two days a week and retired.

Health Services is hoping to fill the empty positions by October.

New staff have been brought on in OSE and Public Safety.

Mold in residence halls is being dealt with on a case-by-case basis

LiveSafe is still functional.

Emergency Blue Lights need new hardware and software; working with the vendor; should be up soon.

Blue Week with Alpha Omicron Pi for Juvenile Arthritis. There will be a table in Hodson and a 5K.

Class of 2022 officer elections are Sept. 28 and petitions should be turned in by Sept. 20.

BikeShare is now run through OSE.

Phi Delta Theta’s 28th Annual Crab Feast is on Sept. 22 from 4 to 7:30 p.m.

New SGA office is in Hodson near the Goosenest.
