The Kalmar Nyckel, a 1997 replica of the original Dutch ship famed for carrying Swedish settlers to North America in 1638, stayed in Chestertown for Downrigging weekend, an event centered around displaying tall ships before they take down their rigging and head to drydocks for the winter.
