Updates to airport shuttles from campus

Students who need transportation to train stations or airports for winter break must sign up now.

As per usual, shuttles will take students to the New Carrollton train station, Baltimore/Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport (BWI), Wilmington Station, and Dulles International Airport on Dec. 13 and 14.

All shuttles depart from the Casey Academic Center.

Students going to New Carrollton or BWI should sign up through WebAdvisor under “Shuttle Reservations.”

According to a Nov. 7 email from transportation, the shuttles fill quickly. So, if a student is unable to reserve a seat because the shuttle is full, they should email Candy Tyrell at ctyrell2@washcoll.edu by Dec. 6 to be placed on the waiting list.

There are three scheduled shuttles for end of the semester departures to New Carrollton and BWI.

The first leaves on Friday, Dec. 13 at 9 a.m. and is scheduled to arrive at New Carrollton’s Kiss and Ride Area on Route 50 at 10:30 a.m. It is scheduled to arrive at BWI around 11 a.m.

The second shuttle departs the same day at 6 p.m. It is expected to arrive at New Carrollton at 7:30 p.m. and BWI at 8 p.m.

The final shuttle leaves on Saturday, Dec. 14 at 9 a.m. Its expected time of arrival is 10:30 a.m. at New Carrollton and 11 a.m. at BWI.

Students going to Wilmington Train Station must contact Lisa Jones at ljones6@washcoll.edu by Dec. 6.

There are two shuttles leaving for Wilmington. The first departs on Friday, Dec. 13 at 6 p.m. It expects to arrive at the drop off on Martin Luther King Boulevard around 7:30 p.m.

The last shuttle leaves on Saturday, Dec. 14 at 9 a.m. Its expected time of arrival is 10:30 a.m.

Students going to Dulles International Airport also will not use WebAdvisor. They must email Sarah Lyle at slyle2@washcoll.edu by Dec. 6.

If a student has already reserved a BWI shuttle but wants to change to the Dulles shuttle, they should cancel their BWI shuttle reservation through WebAdvisor.

There is one shuttle to Dulles International Airport. It departs at 9 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 14. Its expected time of arrival is 11 a.m. at the Main Terminal Entrance.

The Nov. 7 email advises that construction on the Bay Bridge may cause unexpected delays for the New Carrollton/BWI and Dulles shuttles.
