With classes in full swing, students spend more of their time in Clifton Miller Library. There they can find the friendly faces of student workers, librarians, and innovators down in IdeaWorks in the basement.
Throughout the ever-changing financial and cultural shifts of Washington College, the patient and generous librarians and resource advisors spend their time educating students outside of the classroom to become better academicians. Library staff provide students with helpful resources of various databases and subscribed catalogues to enrich experiential learning outside the classroom. They also help students in exploring the books, technology, and hidden archival treasures the College library has to offer.
This hero of the week goes out to the library staff who go unseen but initiate the process of proactive change.
Know a department, faculty member, or organization that is doing great things for the community? Have a hero that you want to recoginze? Send an email to the editor at vgill2@washcoll.edu.
Thanks, Victoria. You made all of us in LAT very happy. I wanted to make a special shout out and mention that LAT also includes the HelpDesk and Educational Technology (who could ever forget VARDIS?!). Students, please remember that we are here to serve you so stop on by.
