The Lunar New Year, also known as the Chinese New Year, began on Jan 25 and ends Feb 8. On Thursday, Jan 30, Dining Services, the Global Education Office, and Chinese Culture Club collaborated for a special Chinese dinner in the Hodson Dining Hall, and hosted activities and games in The Nest. Students were able to play mahjong, create paper lanterns, and practice writing Chinese characters. The Dining Hall was decorated with paper dragons, rats to celebrate the year of the rat, and posters, among other things.
