Student Spotlight quarantine edition: Destiny Frase

Where you’re quarantining: Frase is currently on campus.

Major(s): Sociology

Minor(s): Secondary Education and Museum, Field, and Community Education

Year: Sophomore 

Clubs/Organizations: Frase is a sister of Alpha Chi Omega and a member of the Psychology Club.

Plans after Washington College: “I’m not sure what I want to do yet, but I am interested in becoming a museum educator or curator or a teacher,” Frase said.

Plans after COVID-19: “I’ve always wanted to go to a music festival,” she said.

What’s been keeping you busy during quarantine: “Binge-watching Netflix, journaling and going for walks downtown,” she said.

Your quarantine show, movie, and/or book: Frase is watching “Shameless.”

Work/Internship: “I’m hoping to become a teacher assistant in the summer and a peer mentor in the fall,” Frase said.

Fun Fact: “I can play piano, flute, and ukulele. I also used to take pointe ballet lessons,” she said.

Advice for students in quarantine: “Try picking up a hobby or exercising. I also recommend studying outside or finding new music to listen to,” she said.
