The corner of Washington College and Calvert Street was filled with music on Oct. 9 as community members gathered to celebrate the uptown community’s history together. The event, which lasted from 4 to 10 p.m., featured the Soulified Village (pictured) who performed on stage. The block party also included food trucks, a showing of antique vehicles, and the Chesapeake Heartlands digitization truck. The evening was sponsored by the Social Action Committee for Racial Justice and Washington College.
