Washington College’s Student Government Association sent out an email on July 29 informing the community of Spirit Week, set for Sept. 5 through Sept. 9.
According to the email, each day will have a different theme. On these days, the community is encouraged to participate by dressing according to the themes.
Monday is School Apparel Day, Tuesday is Sports Team Jersey Day, Wednesday is Class Color Day (pink for seniors, blue for juniors, purple for sophomores, red freshmen, and black for administration, faculty, and staff), Thursday is Anything But a Backpack Day, and Friday is Old West Country versus Country Club.
Following Spirit Week, the Club Festival, open to the entire campus community, will be held in Martha Washington Square on Saturday, Sept. 10 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.. If it rains, SGA will send out a new location.
SGA sent another email on Aug. 24 regarding Club Festival sign-up for any clubs looking to participate.
“Clubs will have the opportunity to recruit new members and publicize events,” the email said. Following the Club Festival, SGA will hold a pep rally in Cain Athletic Gym from 2:30 p.m. to 4 p.m., where many activities, including a Class versus Class competition, will occur.
