In Sept. 2022, Washington College announced plans to honor an especially diligent and active employee each month as the featured flock member. October’s featured flock member is Video Content Creator Tim Corrao.
Nominated by several of his peers, Corrao was selected for this distinction because of his work ethic, devotion to videography, eager involvement, and sociability in the workplace, according to information provided by Director of Residential Life Amy Sine.
“[Corrao] puts his all into every video he makes because he loves making videos,” one nomination said. “He has never created a bad product; he is always creating engaging, well-made content with a charm that creates a stronger sense of identity for our community. He has done a phenomenal job.”
Corrao was identified as a positive and upbeat coworker with a reputation of going out of his way to aid both colleagues and the College on the whole.
Indicated as “the first to volunteer when an extra hand is needed” by another nomination, Corrao also stood out this month because “he frequently works weekends and evenings to capture the College’s events. He is patient, kind, and ensures that his work is not done until each client is happy with the end result. [Corrao] does it all with a friendly smile and humble nobility.” According to Sine in previous Elm coverage, although there is not a set rubric in place for the determination of the flock member of the month, the first consideration is a faculty member’s willingness to go “above and beyond” in their role at the College, and their reputation for doing so already.
The most valuable thing any staff member can do is “represent the best of us in their work and their character,” Sine said.
The featured flock member of November will be determined at the end of the month.
