Shorewomen swimming suffers their second loss of the season to Salisbury University 205-55 in a road meet on Nov. 9.
The Shorewomen did not capture a single event in the meet. However, the team did capture six second place finishes.
Senior Kylee Smith was the only Shorewomen to take place in two solo events, finishing second in the 100 and 200 meter butterfly. She finished in 1:05.94 and 2:29.79, respectively.
Freshmen Brooke Bailey and Kenzie Gorman continued their strong starts with solid finishes as well. Bailey swam second in the 200 meter backstroke (2:30.79), while Gorman completed the 50 meter freestyle in 27.87.
Junior Lauren Paules added the fifth second place solo finish with the 80 meter freestyle (9:49.17).
Paules, Bailey, Gorman, and Smith teamed up for the 400 meter freestyle relay, which the quartet took second place in with a time of 4:05.91.
The Shorewomen are currently 5-2 overall, and 3-1 in Centennial Conference action. Additionally, the team is in the top 50 teams in NCAA Division III, currently ranked 34. In the Centennial Conference, the Shorewomen are positioned third overall.
The team will return to the pool on Nov. 15 and 16 with back-to-back meets. The Shorewomen will travel to eleventh-ranked Swarthmore College for another Centennial Conference battle on Nov 15. The next day, the team will voyage to York College to swim against the Spartans.
WC will not swim at home again until Dec. 7 against Widener University. They only have two more home meets in total for the rest of the season.
Their only other home contest is Feb. 1, a dual meet against Bryn Mawr College and Susquehanna University.
