Washington College baseball prepares to retake the diamond for their 2025 campaign.
Last time the Shoremen were out on the field, they finished 10-29, with a 5-13 Centennial Conference finish.
In 2024, the squad split doubleheaders with Swarthmore, Ursinus, and Franklin and Marshall Colleges. WC swept the Muhlenberg College Mules at home to close out their season on April 27.
This spring, the Shoremen start their season at Marymount University in Arlington, Va. for a doubleheader. In the home opener, Penn-State Abington will enter Athey Ballpark for a February 21 contest. The next day, the Shoremen will host PSU-Abington in a doubleheader, playing three games in two days.
The Shoremen will play a doubleheader at Stevenson University on March 1, and a single road game at Widener on March 5.
Starting March 9, the Shoremen will play their first of eight games in Fort Pierce, Fla. They open with a doubleheader versus Franciscan.
On March 19, the Shoremen begin their string of seven consecutive home games. The first is a single versus Eastern University. The Shoremen play a doubleheader with Alfred State College on March 22, and play them one more time on March 23.
The Shoremen will make their Centennial Conference debut on March 29 versus Ursinus, playing a doubleheader with the Bears.
WC will play each Centennial Conference team twice, including several home doubleheaders. Muhlenberg and the Shoremen will battle again in a rematch of last season’s finale on April 12, playing two games that day.
“This season is special because it’s my senior year so it’s my last ride as a Shoreman. Over the last three years, we’ve built a great group of guys that demonstrate camaraderie on and off the field. I’m most excited to be able to spend my last year at [WC] with this team, creating memories that I can hold and reminisce on as I go further in life,” senior outfielder Scooter SanFilippo said.
Ending the season, the Shoremen will host a doubleheader with Gettysburg College on April 26 for the team’s senior day.
