Your contribution to our newspaper not only supports student journalism and educational opportunities for the staff; you’re investing in a high-quality publication. Since 1930, the community of Washington College, including students, faculty, staff, alumni, family, friends, and neighbors, have all depended upon our publication for reliable news and entertainment.
We are a weekly, 12-page, tabloid-sized publication. The Elm is distributed around campus and the town of Chestertown, as well as to subscribing members. We print 800 copies a week, but our readership extends those numbers through our connections to the local community and alumni.
Weekly ads are for sale to on-campus organizations and clubs. Off-campus businesses may purchase ads as well, but priority will be given to on-campus groups. The Elm reserves the right to decline ads if space does not allow on any given week.
